Analytic Systems Provides Power Conversion For CP Rail

Analytic Systems has received and shipped their first contract to Alpha Technologies Inc., for their high performance customized DC/DC Converters (model VTC615R23-48-12AT) that works with Alpha’s Cordex® 4824Vdc DC/DC step down converters. This fully isolated unit has a custom rackmount chassis and is equipped with paralleling diodes.

The FER Project aims to upgrade the electronics hardware and supporting infrastructure on CP’s private trackside fiber communications network in order to provide the foundation for Positive Trackside Control (PTC) and future Digital Railway initiatives. Within each site installation, a pair of these 23” rack mountable, fully isolated 48Vdc to 12Vdc converters are paralleled to provide dual redundancy protection within Alpha’s power subsystem.
