The BCA1550MW Series battery charger provides up to 1500 watts of charging power to a one or two bank battery system at 12, 24, 32, 36 or 48VDC from an 85 – 264 VAC source. The 1550 and 1050 series are identical to their predecessors (BCA1505 and BCA1005, respectively) in form, fit, and function as a direct drop-in replacement.
Internally, the recently updated design incorporates a Power Factor Corrected (PFC) input stage allowing the charger to run continuously from 85 – 264 VAC at 50 or 60Hz with a Power Factor of 0.99 or better from 10% to 100% load. Heavy input and output filtering reduces EMI to extremely low levels to prevent interference with nearby sensitive electronics. The extruded aluminum chassis and billet machined front and rear covers are designed to be dust proof and water resistant to the IP66 standard. An optional upgrade to full IP67 certified (1 meter submersion for 30 minutes) is available. Reliability features include LED status indicators, input circuit breaker, thermal shutdown, current limiting, reverse polarity connection protection and output short circuit shutdown with automatic recovery.
