The BCA1550W Series battery charger provides up to 1500 watts of charging power to a one or two bank battery system at 12, 24, 32, 36, 48 or 72 (Rail) VDC from an 85 – 264 VAC source. The 1550 Series provides up to 1500 watts of precision power, while the 1050 Series provides up to 1000 watts. The 1050 and 1550 Series are identical to their previous models (1005 and 1505, respectively) in form, fit, and function as a direct drop in replacement.
The 1050W and 1550W Series feature extruded aluminum chassis and billet machined front and rear covers, designed to be dust proof and water resistant to IP66 ingress protection rating. An optional upgrade to full IP67 certified (1 meter submersion for 30 minutes) is available.
Internally, the recently updated design incorporates a Power Factor Corrected (PFC) input stage allowing the power supply to run continuously from 85 – 264 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz with a Power Factor of 0.99 or better from 10-100% load. Additionally, heavy input and output filtering reduce EMI to extremely low levels to prevent radio interference. Extra features include visual indicators for low input voltage, charging and over temperature.
