The BCD315MW Series MIL-COTS DC-source battery charger is designed to provide up to 300 watts of precision charging power to a one or two bank battery system at 12, 24, 32, 36, or 48 VDC. This unit is built for high moisture, rugged environments, with expanded operating temperature, MIL-spec connectors, and military-grade shock and vibration protection. Full isolation allows different ground levels to be accommodated (i.e. Charging a positive ground battery from a negative ground source or vice-versa).
This charger is sealed to meet the IP66 rating (IP67 protection available). This unit features two user-selectable charging profiles and can be permanently connected without any risk of damage or overcharging the batteries. When used with the supplied temperature sensor, the unit automatically compensates charging voltage in response to battery temperature to protect against over heating. A user-initiated equalize cycle will re-balance the cells of older batteries for extended life.
Constructed from heavy-duty anodized extruded and billet machined aluminum with O-ring seals and stainless-steel fasteners for rugged duty. Reliability features include an input fuse, thermal shutdown, current limiting, reverse battery connection protection and output short circuit shutdown with automatic recovery.
