The VCH10MW Step-Down Series Voltage Converters deliver up to 10 amps of output current at 12, 24, 36, or 48 volts, drawing power from any input voltage between 20 and 80 volts DC. Encased in a rugged, IP66-rated watertight enclosure (OPT-MY provides IP67), these chargers are ideal for use in extremely rugged applications. The output voltage is designed for permanent connection.
The Military version VCH10MW model features separate bayonet style MIL connectors for input and output. Its high-frequency surface-mount design ensures higher reliability, greater efficiency (over 91%), and more power (up to 544 watts at 48 VDC), all in a compact size.
Built for extreme conditions, the VCH10MW Series operates in temperatures from -40°C to +55°C and has been tested and confirmed to meet MIL-STD-461F for radiated and conducted emissions. It is designed to meet MIL-STD-810G for shock and vibration.
Key safety features include reverse input protection, reverse output connection protection, output over-voltage protection, and spark-free connection.
